ABOUT THE COURSE
The aim of the course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the International Medical Admissions Test.
The course is tailored to help students handle the “General Knowledge & Logical Reasoning” section of the IMAT, and contains a number of tutorials for each type of question, with examples, effective strategies, useful tips, and interactive “practice & learn questions” with an explanation of the correct answer for every question.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & LOGICAL REASONING CONTENTS
General Knowledge: The section includes a number of quizzes on different topics that most frequently appear in the IMAT exam.
The important topics covered under General Knowledge are: World History, Geography, Literature, International Organizations, Everyday Science, Awards and Honors, Economy, Current Affairs, Innovations, Technology e.t.c.
Logical Reasoning: The logical reasoning section covers 2 areas: Critical Thinking and Problem Solving.
Critical thinking section covers the following types of questions:
- Summarizing main conclusion
- Drawing a conclusion
- Identifying an assumption
- Assessing impact of additional evidence
- Detecting reasoning errors
- Matching Arguments
- Applying principles
The problem-solving section is divided into three main question types:
- Relevant Selection
- Finding Procedures
- Identifying similarity
All sections include interactive “practice & learn questions” with an explanation of the correct answer for every question.
