IMAT 2020: Information for Candidates

What do I need to bring with me on the day of the test?

You must bring the following documents/items with you on the day of the test:

  • Both of the confirmation emails that you received during the registration and payment process.
  • A photographic form of identification. This must be an original document that is valid and matches the details you entered on UniversItaly.
  • Black pens.
  • For candidates who requested access arrangements (e.g. extra time): Proof of confirmation from your first‐choice university that any access arrangements required have been approved by them.

If the payment receipt is not accompanied by the online registration receipt, candidates may not be admitted to the test.

Do not bring any electronic items such as calculators, mobile phones, smart watches, digital sound recorders, MP3 players, cameras, etc. into the test room.

Can I provide feedback on the content of the test questions or test administration?

You can give feedback on the content of the test questions or test administration by completing an online feedback form (the form is available for 5 days after the test and all comments/feedback will be sent to the MIUR for review).

A published version of the Question Paper (with all correct answers set to ‘A’) will be available on the MIUR website shortly after the test has taken place.

How is the test scored?

A candidate’s total score is calculated using the following formula:

  • 1.5 points for each correct answer
