Humanitas University offers two opportunities to take the admission test for the Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery.
Both test sessions for the 2025/2026 intake take place online on the following dates:
- 1st test: 5th February 2025
- 2nd test: 26th February 2025
For those who will take the admission test in both test dates, the final ranking will only consider the higher of the two scores obtained.
For second-to-last year high school students
For second-to-last year high school students an online admission test will take place in May 2025.
Further details will be available in early 2025.
Registration to the admission test takes place on MyPORTAL as follow:
1. MyPORTAL Registration
Fill in the MyPORTAL Registration Form with your personal data. You will then receive a confirmation email with your username and password to access your account and proceed with the application process.
2. Application
In order to complete the application procedure, you need to log in to your MyPORTAL account, using the username and password received via mail in the previous step. Proceed by selecting the Admission Test you wish to register to.
Candidates with any kind of disability are invited to make a formal request for the support they need in order to complete the test, by following the instructions detailed in the Art. 5 of the Call for Applications.
The HUMAT Test
In the HUMAT Test students are required to answer 60 multiple-choice questions with four response options in 120 minutes.
The test is composed of two sections:
- Scientific thinking
- Academic literacy/Critical Thinking

| Word- and sentence-level processes, e.g. word recognition, meaning of a preposition |
Section 2, Academic Literacy, includes items that assess the candidate’s ability to understand and use information presented in a n academic text. These reading passages are selected on the basis that they exhibit the textual characteristics of quasi-scientific research papers, but crucially without the expectation that the candidate will have a deep knowledge or understanding of the topic of the text.
